Kids Can Join the SouthCoast Open Air Market for FREE!
The Southcoast Open Air Market (SOAM) has a program made for kids called SOAM Kid Biz. Kid Biz is for young entrepreneurs, ages 7 – 18, who want to sell their goods at SOAM alongside regular vendors. The program is fully sponsored by SFCU. This allows for the business owned and operated by children to participate in the market for FREE!
There are a limited number of Kid Biz spots and the market does have a few spots left for Kids to join the 2023 season. If you know a creative kid who would love to sell his or her creations, you can click HERE for a SOAM Kid Biz application.
SOAM Location & Hours
Dates: Every Saturday, June thru September & October 14th
Day Event Hours: 10:00am – 1:00pm
Night Event Hours: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Event Locations: Chick Marchand Memorial Park, Corner of Newhill Ave. & Riverside Ave., Somerset, MA. This is the large open field where SOAM originated. These first Saturdays of the month are dedicated to a a larger selection of vendors (80+) and an added special event will take place. Slades Ferry Park, 100 Slades Ferry Ave., Somerset, MA. Just a block down from Chick Marchand Memorial Park and across from Rockland Trust Bank, this location is quainter, tree filled, features winding brick paths and a gazebo. This location will have a more heavily curated selection of vendors (30-40) which will create a more intimate shopping and vending experience.
Parking: Parking for both locations is located right next to Grace Bible Church, 802 Riverside Ave., Somerset, MA
